Description

The Headstock gear used on the top of hydropower station is a kind of gantry type hoisting machinery with multiple functions. Mainly used on the top of the hydropower station dam or on the draft tube deck, using for the hoisting, handling of all kinds of gates such as the water inlet gate of the power unit, emergency overhaul gate of the bottom port, trash rack, plate gate of the flood discharge sluice, the installation of the electromechanical device and the convey of the convey of the other equipment on the dam.

The gate hoist is used in various large-scale water supply and drainage, hydraulic, and hydroelectric projects.
It is designed to control the lifting and lowering of various medium and large cast iron or steel gates, enabling their opening and closing. Headstock gears come in many types, including hydraulic hoists, winch-type hoists, gantry Headstock gears, handwheel hoists, electric-hand hoists, hand-crank hoists, screw-type hoists, and double-lifting-point hoists.

Structural Features

  1. The Headstock gears consists of a motor, hoisting mechanism, frame, and protective cover. It adopts a three-stage reduction mechanism with screw transmission, providing higher output torque. The hoist is matched with a steel support frame to overcome uneven civil foundations and reduce overall machine noise and vibration.
  2. The system uses an outdoor-duty motor designed for continuous operation, with a protection rating of IP55 or higher. The travel control mechanism is based on a decimal counting principle, with a travel control error of just 0.5%. Torque protection is achieved by axial displacement of the worm shaft activating a micro switch, effectively protecting the electrical components.
  3. The operation and maintenance are simple, with support for both on-site and remote control operations.
